22 But the officers who came[a] did not find them in the prison, and they returned and[b] reported, 23 saying, “We found the prison locked with all security and the guards standing at the doors, but when we[c] opened them,[d] we found no one inside!” 24 Now when both the captain of the temple and the chief priests heard these words, they were greatly perplexed concerning them, as to what this might be.
